Mithila Palkar
There is something so refreshing about Mithila. There is an infectious charm and an aura of happiness around her. In 2016, Mithila posted her ‘Cup Song’ that has till date garnered 2.9 million views! It went viral and Mithila got overwhelming attention. She has been named in the Forbes 2018 list of 30 under 30 for young artists to look out for. The best aspect so far was that she has not limited herself to one medium and has featured in web series, feature films and plays. We look forward to a long innings from this lovely girl and our best wishes to her for a glorious multifaceted career.
Has internet affected the young gen? Your take on this
Internet has undoubtedly had a massive impact on practically all. Being a millennial, I must say that for me it is a Go-Too thing! I mean all of us practically google for anything that we need to seek and look for. So yes, internet has had a massive affect on all. Like all things that are easily accessible and available, there is bound to be a downside to it. There are pros and cons and one needs to be responsible in terms of use. No two ways but it is a vital part of our lives undoubtedly.
How updated are you on current affairs?
If one is well informed, one tends to have well informed opinions. Half baked information has not helped anyone ever. I do try and keep myself updated. I confess I am dependent on the internet to access information; I read and am aware of what is happening. The whole point is being aware of the surroundings. I try to be updated as much as possible. I may not know the entire details but I do try to keep abreast of current affairs.
My Inspiration
My inspiration is my Grandmother I have said this before too. I have imbibed from her teachings that one needs to be resilient in this chaotic world and to persevere and be strong to survive especially when I have chosen an unconventional profession. ! If there is one thing that I have learnt from her is to smile and make others smile. It makes life so much of a happier place to be in.
Professionally, the one person who I really look up to is Priyanka Chopra. She is phenomenal. Look at her profile - an actor, producers, performer, dancer and so much more. She has established her brand globally and what amazing work she is doing. I really aspire to be like her and do as many things as possible
My best quality
My personal Motto and resolution every year is to BE HAPPY. If I can bring a smile to someone’s face that makes me happy. It is a chaotic life but like my grandmother says that if you persist then things do fall in place.
Your advice to a young girl starting a career in one sentence would be ..
I would say Dream On and go for it and believe in yourself because if you don’t then nobody will. Go for it!

गोड हसू, मोहक पर्सनॅलिटी आणि उत्साहाचा झरा - कुणावरही सहज भुरळ घालणारं, चैतन्याने सळसळणारं व्यक्तीमत्व म्हणजे मिथिला! मिथिलाने २०१६ मध्ये तिचं ‘कप साॅंग’ पहिल्यांदा इंटरनेटवर पोस्ट केलं आणि ते अक्षरश: वाऱ्यासारखं व्हायरल झालं. त्यानंतर अनेक नजरा कौतुकाने मिथिलाकडे वळल्या. तिच्या ‘कप साॅंग’ला आज पर्यंत तब्बल २.९ मिलियन व्ह्यूज मिळाले आहेत. २०१८ च्या फोर्ब्सने प्रसिद्ध केलेल्या तिशीच्या आतल्या लक्षवेधी कलाकारांच्या नामावलीमध्ये मिथिलाच्या नावाचा समावेश आहे. मिथिलाच्या बाबतीत सगळ्यात छान गोष्ट म्हणजे तिने स्वत:ला एकाच माध्यमात गुंतवून ठेवलेलं नाही. सिनेमा, नाटक, वेब सिरीज अशा सगळ्या क्षेत्रात तिचा सहज आणि छान वावर आहे. येत्या काळात अशीच सगळ्या माध्यमात तिची इनिंग बहरताना पाहायला मिळावी याच मिथीलाला आमच्या शुभेच्छा!
इंटरनेटमुळे नवीन पिढी बिघडलीये अशी चर्चा होते, तुझं मत काय?
इंटरनेटचा नवीन पिढीवर प्रचंड पगडा आहे याबद्दल शंका नाही. या पिढीतलीच असल्यामुळे माझ्यासाठी सुद्धा इंटरनेट ही अतिशय महत्वाची गोष्ट आहे. म्हणजे आपण सगळेच आपल्याला हव्या असलेल्या कुठल्याही गोष्टीसाठी गुगलचीच मदत घेतो. त्यामुळे हो, इंटरनेटचा पगडा आहे. कुठल्याही सहजसाध्य गोष्टीचे असतात तसे त्याचे ही काही दुष्परिणाम असतीलच. त्याच्या चांगल्या वाईट वापराची जबाबदारी अर्थातच प्रत्येकाने घ्यायला हवी, पण इंटरनेट हा आज प्रत्येकाच्या जगण्याचा अविभाज्य भाग आहे यात शंका नाही.
आजूबाजूला घडणाऱ्या गोष्टींबद्दल तू स्वत:ला कसं अपडेट ठेवतेस?
आपण स्वत:ला अपडेट ठेवलं तरच आपली एखाद्या गोष्टीबद्दल चांगली वाईट मतं तयार होतात. अर्धवट माहितीचा कुणालाच काहीच उपयोग होत नाही, त्यामुळे हो, आपल्याला स्वत:ला नेहमी अपडेट ठेवावंच लागतं, मी पण त्याला अपवाद नाही. त्यासाठी मी वाचत राहाते. मला अथ् पासून इति पर्यंत माहिती असावी असा माझा आग्रह नसतो, पण आजूबाजूला घडणाऱ्या घटनांबद्दल आपल्याला काहीच माहिती नसणं मला योग्य वाटत नाही, त्यामुळे अपडेट असण्याचा माझा प्रयत्न असतोच.
माझी प्रेरणा
मी अनेकदा सांगितलंय, माझी आजी! मी निवडलेल्या काहीशा अनिश्चित अशा करिअरच्या वाटेवर चालताना तिचं शिकवणं, संस्कार, मला घट्ट पाय रोवून उभं राहायला मदत करतात. सतत आनंदात राहायला, इतरांना आनंदात ठेवायला मी तिच्याकडून शिकले. प्रोफेशनली, प्रियांका चोप्रा मला खूप आवडते. अभिनेत्री, निर्माती, परफाॅर्मर म्हणून ती जबरदस्त आहे. फक्त भारतातच नाही तर जगभरात तिने आपल्या उत्तम कामातून स्वत:चा ब्रॅंड निर्माण केलाय. मला खरंच तिच्यासारखं व्हावंसं वाटतं!
माझा सर्वात चांगला गुण
दरवर्षी माझा संकल्प एकच असतो - आनंदात राहाणं! मी कुणाच्या चेहऱ्यावर हसू आणू शकले तर मला ते सगळ्यात जास्त आवडतं. आपल्या आजूबाजूला नेहमी खूप गोंधळाचं वातावरण असतं, पण आपण मेहनत आणि प्रयत्न केले तर गोष्टी नेहमी आपल्या मनासारख्या आणि छान होतात यावर माझा विश्वास आहे.
माझ्या बरोबरीच्या मुलींना माझा सल्ला
मी एकच सांगेन, स्वप्न बघा... ती पूर्ण करण्यासाठी मेहनत करा, कारण ते आपलं आपल्यालाच करावं लागतं, आपल्यासाठी इतर कुणीही काहीही करत नाही, म्हणूनच, गो फाॅर इट आॅन युअर ओन!
