Ok, we are still reeling and with a sense of pure bliss.
The reason being that our visual and mental faculties are completely overwhelmed as the result of listening and watching to the performances of world class talented Instrumentalists & vocalists!
DiwaliPahat programs are a rage in this beautiful city of Pune. It’s almost like a ritual in Diwali festival. Audiences dressed in their finery flock to Diwali Pahat (dawn) musical events. This is a culture of the city that has been in existence for many years. The stage is set. The atmosphere is beautiful, the lights and decoration adorn the surroundings.
We -Lead Group Events team is involved in the pre-event preparations for the past week in anticipation of organizing the 4 days event to deliver flawless execution.
Events are scripted and the event flow is marked and documented. Every member of the team knows what is going to happen in the marked duration. The entire team consisting of stage setup, sound technician, Lights technician, camera setup is all rehearsed and is ready for the action. Yet, till the time the entire event is executed one is still on tether hooks anticipating and being ready for any kind of fire fighting.
But the magical days of Diwali Pahat this year flew by without a hitch!
Pandit Vijay Ghate (Tabla maestro) , Hariprasad Chaurasia (world renowned Grammy nominated flutist), Pandit Anand Bhate ( National Award winning classical vocalist), Manjusha Patil (classical vocalist), Bhavani Shankar (World renowned Pakhwaj player) were mesmerizing & lastly Mahesh Kale (National award winning classical vocialist) who sang sublime and pure.
There was standing ovation for every performance of the day and a 2000+ audience who was rooted to their seats for nonstop performances of more than 2 hours every morning.
Artists give us pleasure and happiness. Behind their successful performances are years and years of hard work and sacrifices. It is their persistence to be the best is what demarcates the best from the good.
We were blessed to be a part of this Diwali Pahat event series and listen to these maestros.
